ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Steve Hedberg earned a BFA with a concentration in communication arts from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992. Steve moved to Atlanta, Georgia shortly after graduation, founded an arts & literature publication entitled "Poets, Artists & Madmen" and has specialized in publication design and art direction for the majority of his career. He moved back to Richmond in 2001 and now acts as creative director at Richmond Magazine. He has been painting all along and Richmond and rural Virginia have become a main source of subject matter for his work.

Steve's work can be found in several large collections including the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Ironworks Consulting, Capital One, LandAmerica and NewMarket Corporation.

Steve, his wife Debbie and their daughters Claire and Sophie reside in the Forest Hill neighborhood of Richmond.
